Crawford is a town in Orange County, New York, located 93 miles south of the state capital. As of August of 2021, the town's population was 9268. The town was settled around the year 1740, and in 1813 was labelled as as the butter capital of the world. In Crawford is a hamlet known as Pine Bush. It was formerly named after the town, Crawford. During the 1980's, an large amount of UFO's were sighted in the area, and since then, Pine Bush had developed a reputation as the UFO capital of the world. The hamlet holds a UFO festival annualy.
