Dansville is the name of a town in Steuben County, New York. This county is considered part of the Southern Tier Region. However, Dansville is in the northwest corner of the county and therefore often considered part of the Finger Lakes region or even the Western New York region. The town is approximately 60 miles directly south of the City of Rochester and approximately 80 miles southeast of Buffalo.
