Denmark is the name of a town in Lewis County, New York. It is named after the European country., the town’s population was estimated at 2,800. Denmark covers fifty one square miles and is roughly triangular shaped. The town is situated on the western side of the Adirondack Mountains and is considered part of the “Tug Hill" region. It is approximately twenty miles east of Watertown. Denmark encompasses two villages and several hamlets. The villages are Castorland and Copenhagen. The hamlets are Briggs Corners, Cameron Corners, Clark Corners, and Deer River.
