Hastings-on-Hudson is a village in Westchester County, New York. It is located just north of on the eastern bank of the Hudson River, just north of Yonkers, and approximately twenty miles north of Midtown Manhattan. The village is considered a suburb of New York City. Hastings-on-Hudson is one of the six villages of the Town of Greenburgh., the estimated village population was at 8,600. The village’s early industry was based on stone quarrying and marble trade.
