North Norwich is a town in Chenango County, New York. The town is directly north of the small city of Norwich. Its area is known as the Central New York region. The town is around fifty miles northeast of Binghamton and around fifty miles southeast of Syracuse.
North Norwich was first settled in 1794. In 1849, the settlement became a township. The town’s residential areas are the hamlets of Galena, Kings Settlement, North Norwich, Plasterville and Sherburne Four Corners., the town had a population of approximately 1,773.
