Palermo is a town in Oswego County, New York. It is around thirty miles north of Syracuse and around ten miles south of Lake Ontario. As of June of 2022, the population was 3,542. The town was settled around 1803 and formed in 1832. It was named after a town in Sicily, the island region of Italy. Palermo covers about forty-one square miles.
