Pleasantville is a village in Westchester County, New York. It is located just north of the City of White Plains and approximately thirty miles north of Times Square. It is in the town of Mount Pleasant. Pleasantville covers roughly two square miles., the village population was approximately 7,400. Pleasantville was first settled in 1695 and incorporated in 1897. Most of the village’s growth came during the 1870’s after the New York and Harlem Railroad lines were laid through the village.
