Ward is a small and rural town in Allegany County, New York. It is considered part of New York’s Southern Tier region and is twenty miles north of the New York – Pennsylvania border., Ward’s population was approximately 360. The town was settled in 1856 and covers a total of thirty square miles. The only community in town is a hamlet known as Phillips Creek.
