Webster is a large town in Monroe County, New York. It is located on the southern shore of Lake Ontario and is around ten miles east of downtown Rochester. As of June of 2022, Webster’s population was 44,968 spread over thirty-five and a quarter square miles. Most of the town is made up of residential communities that serve as suburbs to the City of Rochester. Inside the town is a village, also named Webster, and several hamlets.
