Williamstown is a rural town in Oswego County, New York. It is part of the Central New York region and is roughly forty miles northeast of Syracuse. The town consists of hamlets named Happy Valley, Kasoag, Maple Hill, Ricard, and Williamstown. The hamlet of Williamstown is in the center of town and is the location of most businesses. The town of Williamstown is thirty-nine square miles, most of it is forestland. There are a few farms in the center of the town. As of September of 2023, the town population was estimated at 1,300.
