Inside the town is one village and several hamlets. The village is Jeffersonville, and it is the location of town offices. The hamlets are Callicoon Center, North Branch, and Youngsville.

Traffic violations in Callicoon are written and issued by the New York State Police and the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office. Most traffic stops are for speeding. The village speed limit is 35 miles per hour. Outside the village, the speed limit fluctuates between 55 and 45 miles per hour. New York State Route 52 is the town’s main road. It passes through the town’s southeastern corner and brings motorists to the Town of Liberty to the east. NYS-52 is the arterial road of Jeffersonville and Youngsville. A County Route intersects it near the east town line. That road is County Route 149 (Shandelee Road), which runs north from Youngsville. It heads to the north-east corner of town and leaves, but not before passing through Shandelee. Callicoon Center and North Branch are accessible via County Route 121/122. It traverses the town’s western half heading north and south. On the western side of town is County Route 123 (“The Gulf Road”). It runs north-south bringing motorists between Callicoon Center in the center of town and Route 17 and Roscoe in the north.
