East Fishkill is a town in Dutchess County, New York. The town is east of the Town of Fishkill. Of the two, East Fishkill is larger and is more populated., the population of East Fishkill was estimated at 29,500. The word “kill” in Dutch means “creek”, hence the name Fishkill. The town is perhaps most well-known for its large IBM plant.
