Highland is a town in Sullivan County, New York. The town is located in the Catskill Mountains, along the Pennsylvania state line. Highland is approximately 120 miles northwest of New York City. It is a rural town consisting mostly of forestland. The town encompasses the hamlets of Barryville, Eldred, Highland Lake, Minisink Ford, and Yulan., Highland had an estimated population of 2,100.
