The town’s police department was disbanded in 2011. Currently the Ossining roads are monitored by officers of the Ossining Village Police Department, the New York State Police and the Westchester County Sheriff's Department. All tickets issued in town are adjudicated by the Ossining Town Court. They handle tickets issued in Ossining Village as well. Violations issued in Briarcliff Manor are adjudicated at their own separate village court.

The large roads in town are the source of many traffic violations. US-Route 9 (South Highland Avenue) runs north-south along the Hudson River in the west portion of town. It passes through the Village of Ossining and runs north until it merges with New York State Route 9A and New York State Route 134 in Crotonville.
