Palmyra is a village in Wayne County, New York. It is located approximately twenty five miles east of the City of Rochester. The village is within the Town of Palmyra. It is a small village, covering 1.35 square miles., the village population was estimated at 3,400. The village has an historic district that was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2009. The village is also of religious significance to Mormons.
