Van Etten, New York
Van Etten is a town located in Chemung County, New York. It is considered part of both the New York Southern Tier region and the Elmira Metropolitan Statistical Area. As of March of 2022, the town’s population was 1,605. The town was settled in 1797 and officially formed in 1854. Van Etten is named after the two brothers that founded the earlier village settlement named Van Etten. Until 2018 the Van Etten village was a separate entity.
