West Turin is a town in Lewis County, New York. It is located approximately thirty miles north of the City of Rome., the population was estimated at 1,500. West Turin covers one hundred and two square miles. It was first settled around 1796 and formed officially in 1830. The name was derived from its parent town, Turin. Inside West Turin is a village named Constableville, which is the town’s main population area. Additionally, there are four hamlets that make up the town. They are Collinsville, Fish Creek, Michigan Mills and Mohawk Hill.
